Kids ages 6 and up will love these weekly group lessons. All skill levels are welcome! Whether you feel like a pro or have never held a vine charcoal stick, you'll leave each week with new skills and improved confidence. The instruction will be tailored to your needs by your teacher, Mr. Spenser.

Kids will be guided through a variety of art media, starting with pastels and working up to colored pencils, graphite drawing and more. Students receive instruction to build skills, then put those skills to work in a project-based format. Take home your one-of-a-kind piece of art and hang it for all to see. Or try to sell it to an international art dealer for millions of dollars and retire young... it's totally up to you.

Your schedule is busy but we've got options. Kids lessons are held Mondays at 12:30pm, Mondays at 4:00pm, Tuesdays at 12:30pm, Wednesdays at 3:30pm, or Wednesdays at 5:00pm. If the class of your choice is full, you'll be added to the wait list until a spot opens up.

Monday 4:00 classes are held at The Corner Club, a friendly neighborhood cafe in Seminole Heights, Tampa. All other classes are held at the Hensel home in the Lake Magdalene area of Tampa.

FAQ
When can I start?
Anytime! As long as space is available, new students are welcome to join at the beginning of any month. If a class is full, you'll be added to the waitlist and notified as soon as a spot opens up.
How much do these lessons cost?
Lessons are $125 per month and include an average of four 90-minute classes each month. Tuition for the upcoming month is collected before the first of the month. Families are welcome to pause or discontinue lessons at any time - we kindly ask for two weeks' notice, so we have time to fill the spot.
Who provides the supplies?
Students are responsible for their own art supplies and will bring them each week to class. An Amazon supply list is provided for each medium and students can expect to pay ~$50 for their supplies which will last several months.
What happens if I miss a class?
Life happens! Just let your teacher know if you're going to miss class. If seats are available, you can make up your missed class at any of the other classes held that month (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday)
*Makeups must first be scheduled and approved by Mr. Spenser.
Are parents allowed to stay and observe?
Of course! If your child has lessons at the Corner Club in Seminole Heights, food, coffee, beer and wine are available for purchase while you hang out. If your lessons are at the Hensel home, you are welcome to grab a seat on our porch, couch or enjoy the wonderful silence of your own car after dropping off your child.
